This place produces high quality pharma and does a good job of it. Unfortunately, it's union labor, and with that comes all of the headaches you typically hear about union labor. However, in their defense, they're at least relatively competent.

Great coworkers Poor Management.
|
It’s always easy to blame poor culture on management - in this case it’s true. Hard workers are worked to the bone and not compensated or promoted. They refuse to promote or give raises even when you receive top marks during your reviews. They claim it’s not in the budget and then wonder why people leave.
It’s usually chaos and the top managers are too busy finger pointing to solve problems. There’s a complete lack of competent leadership which just trickles down into a frustrated, overwhelmed staff.
The bright spot is finding out who you can trust and rely on. There are strong bonds to be made with some great coworkers but more and more are leaving.

Working here feels like constantly walking on egg shells

The pay is good, advancement is easy if you work hard enough. When I first started the job was much more fun and laid back, though you weren't often fully trained before they through you in. The company likes to purge their employees every so often for the silliest reasons, most likely to set an example. Also always expecting more work with less people.
They are ridiculously understaffed and can't find new hires often probably because they've been through everyone in the area who can pass a drug test. Changing departments is almost impossible, expect 6months to a year or never if you're one of their best employees and they want to keep you where you are. The work is redundant and boring once you've learned everything. Music and podcasts help the day go by but they recently made that a terminable offense too!

My coworkers and immediate supervisor were awesome to work with. 401k match, benefits were decent.

Decent compensation, high stress, sketchy business practices. Benefits were decent. Vacation time is accrued which is archaic. Don’t recommend due to current nature of pending bankruptcy.

Horrible experience. Would not recommend to my worst enemy! Training is sub par at best and they expect you to learn it after going over it once! All the importance is given to learning the system but not the job itself. Stay away from this company and department. Awful work culture! Awful Management!

Stinks! It is a very dysfunctional place to work. No one seems to be happy or satisfied with their job. It is a very dangerous place to work due to the nature of the process. Management is antiquated in their thinking. They operate on a low budget although they are a multi-billion dollar company.

Good money but you are signing your life away
|
You do not get much time off. I barely had time to sleep. If it’s nights then plan on not seeing family anymore. Nothing is fair either; management is in control and we are their puppets. The workers are just another number, we have to fight for time off and that’s through higher management. I was denied time off in advance for a medical appointment. That was not up to my supervisor but upper management. They act like they care but disregard anything you say. Your coworkers are your new family and they are usually great.
