I think is a good company and with good benefits for the full timers but for the part time people is hard sometime to move!!! Worked for Publix for 7 years. Started as an ammonia refrigeration technician. 4 years into my career, I transferred to a new department that did strictly supermarket rack refrigeration . Moved up through the ranks and became a supervisor. Management made it very difficult to perform our job. We had a bunch of desk jockey, pencil pushers that had no clue about the refrigeration field and wrote rules and regulations without having the slightest idea of what they were doing. Stepped down and became a tech. Lasted 4 more months and then left. I loved Publix before I started working for the Rack refrigeration department, hence the 3 star review. All were great except the last, who led to me quitting. Part time do not see nearly as many benefits other than being able to purchase stock and some education help. Being able to work up in the company can truly come down to playing favorites.
