I worked there over ten years ago, so things may have changed. But people didn’t like me so they found a way to get me fired. When I first started, I didn’t have any problems, but then I got transferred to a different location.

I would not recommend Cecil Bank to anyone who is interested in advancement or who needs any training for the job in which they are applying for. The benefits are decent but the work environment is highly demanding and stressful. Upper management has a closed door policy and does not cultivate their employees.

No room for advancement, long hours, no appreciation of employees.

Due to school, my hours were very short throughout the week. So I went to work for Cecil Bank. I was a sales associate and presumably got only twenty hours a week.

A valuable entry into the banking culture
|
My time with Cecil Bank has been positive. It's a small local bank with great co-workers that know their customers and upper management that is really pulling all the resources they can to help the organization stabilize and grow. My time in the BSA department has been a fast learning experience with a very knowledgeable and supportive supervisor. It showed me that I have an interest in the field and wish to pursue it further.

The customer truly does come first and a staff that wishes to see you grow.

Good place and very community oriented.

This was a great place to work. I got to work under an attorney which gave me a lot of paralegal like skills. I took minutes for the board meetings. Everyone was very laid back.

It is a local bank that game me the opportunity to learn

In a typical day at work a teller handling with money making balances, deposits, withdraws, transfer of funds, filling up monetary instruments, doing ATM, running the night drop, sending receipts by mail and solve and or give answer to customers concerns.
I learned that people can get a checking or saving account depending of their necessities.
My manager gives a lot of importance to the appearance of the bank and she is making some changes for customers have a warmer attention.
My co-workers are efficient, but a little bit racists
The hardest part of the job is when customers come stressed to ask for transactions and start to yelling.
The most enjoyable of the part is when customers appreciate teller's help.
