I was chosen for (2) internal positions which I applied for, only to find out a month later after applying that mgmt had either placed the position on hold or changed the applicant requirement. A great divide exists between departments/branches in regard to the CIC Reps, as other departments outside of the CIC do not communicate effectively. Also, in regard to communication, management in the CIC lack any sort of inter-personal skills. The assistant manager specifically, if and when they communicate, is often negative and abrupt. When the mgmt in this department does decide to communicate directly, it has been my experience that 100% honestly is not always incorporated into conversations or concerns. The department does not feel like "team" any longer, if that is something that is important to you then I would not recommend applying for this position. The community bank culture is really disappearing from interactions with customers, which was originally why I had wanted to come work for this bank. As I appreciate the small community, neighborhood bank culture and feel. I have witnessed employees being forced out of roles, when CIC mgmt feels intimidated by these individuals. I could keep going with my concerns about this department as I am extremely disgruntled with my experience while working here. Everything seemed to spiral downward in January/February of this year. At this point, thankfully, I have found employment elsewhere. I urge you to seriously consider applying for this position, as after the "newness" wears off you will most likely experience lack of communication from CIC management, no career development and just an overall unhappiness in your work. I do love my job, I just don't like how I am not 100% appreciated with everything I do. I find myself to be very helpful and hands on, I am always willing to learn and help with anything that needs it. I definitely don't find much support from MY manager. Great Head of HR Dept. Set me up to fail in this position. They lead me to think my job was secure while going through personal issues and than they fired me wrongfully. Management never had answers and was very disorganized. They push people out and put them in roles they are not fit to fill; setting them up to fail. I would NEVER work here again. The co-workers were all super clicky and talked about one another ESPECIALLY if someone was out of work for any reason at all. There was even a verbal argument on the floor between a couple co-workers.
