There are so many people who have invested many, many years at SciLearn because they believe in the mission and the products. Flexibility, really smart co-workers and a humane workplace and culture made it a place you wanted to stay.
|
Since the company was acquired by Carnegie Learning, which also publishes textbooks, there is a mix of cultural influences. There is no longer a single product focus or even a focus on software. The organization structure is also very different as a result of multiple acquisitions.
Salaries were low by Bay Area standards. With headquarters now in PA, that may be a continuing problem.
