The company is owned by a PHC and seem very disconnected from everything. Employees receive very little direction and management was very disengaged from staff.
There are very clear lines of separation as far as pay, employee appreciation is non existent, this is very divisive.

Quiet place to work

It's very quiet, not the most innovative environment for an entry level person entering the work force. It felt as if a lot was set in stone and there was not much flexibility.

Good laid back company to work for

Good company, pay wasn’t too good. Good work atmosphere very nice co workers made the environment very comfortable. Not a competitive company which is also always good. Would work there again if I got higher pay.

Interesting products, poor communication
|
The office environment was pleasant to work in, with a bright and quite desk space near windows. The work from home options for a day or two a week allowed focus without the stress of sitting in traffic all morning and night.
Projects were given without much explanation, and without being told what was expected, and when they did not meet what was imagined in the head of the assigner I was told I wasn't "getting it" and that it was my fault.
I was constantly told I wasn't good enough for permanent employment because of age and experience, even though I worked as the sole designer for many months with no management and handled all projects despite poor communication.

Excellent place to work

I had planned on working there until I retired but it was unfortunate that the area I was working in was moved to China location. The building was so clean and well kept. Management was great. I loved my job and really hated when I had to leave.

AT Cross at one time was good company, like their employees and had an excellent benefits Packages. But after the owner died his sons did not have any idea on how to run the company. Decided to get a CEO who just upped the firing of employees with no warning or reason
