Pay your employees what they are worth. Perks are nice but it doesn't pay the bills or put food on the table. Also, you might want to think about adding some diversity to your pool of employees.

Sometime a Fun job culture, but little else and no growth

Some really nice people work for them, there is a ping pong table and arcade machine and they provide pizza on Fridays.
|
It doesn't pay very well and they leveraged their culture to justify this fact that they pay less than the median salary. So for many, its more of a pit stop on the road to something better and not a place were you can stay, grow or move up within the company. Even if you landed one of the few positions that had a bit wiggle-room as far as growth, the high school esque office politics would ultimately play as much a part as performance in the decision of promotion or a raise. This has been my personal experience and one that is shared by some of the friends i made that still work there today. For those reasons and an incident that was handled poorly and unprofessionally, i resigned from my position and never looked back.

Great culture, vibes, people, & balance.

In my career spanning 20+ years, I've worked for some amazing companies. Some had great perks; some had great people. None has fully encompassed everything I was looking for in a company like ABG Capital does. The perks, the people, the generosity--it's like family here! Oh, and the office pub is the cherry on top. We have paid volunteer events, paid sporting events, a game room, a relaxation room, and once again--the pub, and there is always food here for some sort of reason or another. We work hard, but also play hard. I recommend it!

There aren't many actually--which is rare. If I had to name one weak area, it would be balanced recognition for all departments & employees, not just the same usual suspects, so to speak. We all work hard, though have different jobs here, everyone is important and the recognition could be dispersed better.

Little growth for career advancement. This is a fantastic job for those looking for a comfortable job that doesn't involve much change. It can be fast paced at times. Great for developers and call center occupations. Higher level management jobs, and progression into those jobs seems impossible. The people who already obtain those positions aren't going any where and neither are you.

Amazing workplace

Everyone is friendly, it doesn't matter what your level is in the company. Company paid catered lunches every Friday. Lots of room for advancement in the company. Scotch cart weekly.
