This is not the 9-5 kind of work, you really need to dig in and learn something you didn't know and commit to it, and boy do you get rewarded! With every year, my professional skills are advancing to another level, the amount of experience in the digital marketing field I get from this job, is enormous. Yes, sometimes you have to get out of your comfort zone, but, you know, no pain - no gain.

Working at Absolute Web Services has been a pleasure thus far. I am a project manager and I enjoy being able to help our clients reach all their goals. It’s great that I get a chance to use the experience I already have and learn something new every day. I recently got my Magento certification and I don’t know if I would have gotten that done if I hadn’t started working at Absolute. Great work environment / Growing company

Really collaborative environment compared to other agencies. The staff is comprised of people who tend to have something they're really good at. For example, if I have questions about a particular ecommerce platform, digital marketing strategy, or design - I know exactly who to speak to.
The Office Manager is also very patient, will listen to you concerns, and will genuinely try to help. The owner treats the staff all the time to little things that brighten our day. For instance, he'll order Salty Donut (really amazing donuts), randomly order everyone Starbucks, and celebrate birthdays with homemade Russian cake and wine.
Overall, the best part of this job is that you will learn new things and there is honestly room for growth because they company is actually growing. Two reasons, really: First, we honestly provide great service (to the best of our ability anyway) and challenge each other's craftsmanship, give constructive feedback, and support each other when we're overwhelmed. The second is the owner does his best to bring in new business and quality clients. In my previous experience, people would be worried about lay offs because there was not enough new projects coming in; a responsibility that is first a foremost the responsibility of the principals. What's worst is that they'd bring in or hang on to problematic clients instead of seeking new opportunities. The owner doesn't do that here... he seeks out interesting projects and quality clients; a strategy that makes our work experience that much better.
There's also silly pro's like a dart board, foosball tables, kitchenette stocked with drink and snacks, free parking, located in a nice building with friendly concierge, nice view in conference room, modern decor, and 1 hour lunch with restaurants nearby.

There aren't that many cons, to be honest. The positions are structured as 1099s instead of W2s, so if you don't know how to properly write off expenses, you're going to pay more come tax time. There are also no health benefits or paid time off, so you need to arrange your own services and do financial planning around vacation time.

this company is MLM
1. They do not know anything about marketing. When they hire you, you will get some projects- you will be on your own with them. they will give you something that they do not know what to do and ask you to increase the sales.
2. Small company - no grow.
3. Paid cash - not reliable. they do not pay taxes, same as you.
You have to bring your own customers. Find opportunities to get them, lie to them just to get a check. After that, they forgot about them.

A growing Magento development agency that has a lot going for it

Absolute has gathered a strong team of individuals that understand that they do not know everything - and have created an environment of learning and support. If a project gets too technical, or a deadline requires the team’s support - someone will be available to help out.
The web presence that Absolute has developed has given management the ability to filter out projects that have a high likelihood of being under-appreciated (so-called “simple” projects); a major component of stress, and under-budgeted projects; ones that take the substance away from what is otherwise a good idea if given a larger budget.
A large proportion of the projects at Absolute give us insight into real-world problems, and having a team capable of solving them is empowering and at times awe-inspiring. The lessons learned from one project carry on to the next giving employees a sense of vertical direction that is lacking in many working “factories” that stay on what they are good at to ensure maximum margins.
As a final note, the office is well-equipped with coffee and other refreshments, a mix of healthy / not-so-healthy snacks, freshly-baked sweets pretty much around the clock and that’s nice to have.

Extra work is compensated, but there is a tendency to over-task marketing, development and project-management teams, who - as a conscious attempt to live up to multiple client’s expectations would feel obligated to stay past the work day or on weekends. While it is ultimately their choice, the work environment does elicit a counter-productive mentality of “working hard” vs “working smart.”
While working in the office is fun and the team is great, there is a foosball table made worse by the partially open-floor plan that should probably be restricted to lunch and late-day.
