I want to preface my statement with this: I have enjoyed my time at the university, creating a community and making long life friends with students and faculty. There is so much good at the school that gets completely overshadowed by the current management. The school is going through a massive change and has given this rebrand/responsibility to a select few who have no experience in the field. If you work in marketing you will be treated like a child, you will have absolutely no input in your work and will constantly be driving results into the ground. All of the work you do will come directly from the few senior leadership members that control the entire process. Management: You have years worth of complaints against a member of staff who has risen to the top. They have had accusations of racism, emotional abuse, inappropriate behavior, unprofessionalism, illegal activity and more. You have had countless complaints, as admitted by HR, from this person. It is not a secret that the toxic, hostile and destructive work environment is being created and perpetuated by a select few people. I have been part of unprofessional meetings and witnessed backstabbing, lying and verbal abuse to many different staff members - Including people on my team. Despite this you continue to allow this environment to foster. You continue to give give more power and control to the people creating this. In terms of work, I have analyzed statistics and results and have seen a decrease in positive metrics, we have not been allowed to change strategy, test content or bring these results up without hostility and violent language. Our staff members are told that specific managers only hire people with 'No experience' because they're 'More malleable'. This is the type of environment you are allowing. Moreover, students have complained countlessly about these individuals and you are letting your universities reputation and student experience suffer. All of the complaints end with the same result 'We will take action but we can't tell you what' and then the people causing these issues are promoted and those 'In the way' (According to senior leadership who are experienced and necessary) are fired. I tried every proper avenue to address these issues and I know others have as well. I hope that this message finds the right people to know what you'd be getting into.
