HR ineffective at dealing with management abuse. Inexperienced employees promoted based on favoritism. Quality people pushed out in some departments due to lack of oversight. The lactation room for breastfeeding mothers is a shower stall in the restroom, which is startling for an organization dedicated to nutrition.

Good company but dysfunctional leadership.

The organization does really interesting work and is dedicated to the members and the industry. Their events and programs are successful. Overall, the work there is appealing and satisfying.
|
The leadership in this organization is the real problem. The Vice-Presidents fight against each other and can't make a decision to save their lives. The investments that are supposed to be strategic are wasted and move from one direction to the other. The leadership is the only reason why I left this association.

ADA offered decent benefits and flex hours that helped facilitate work/life balance.

Directors and some managers displayed ineffective and negative methods towards staffers in their respective departments. People were often not treated with respect and a "sink or swim" mentality persisted without offering necessary guidance on procedures and expectations.
