I was given meaningful tasks and had the chance to work on major matters and clients, both domestic and international. I learned something new every day and was never bored. - I was impressed by the support, transparency and generosity of the people at Accru. Lots of opportunities to learn and upskill if you take initiative - manager was very supportive with my career development and flexible with external opportunities. Great social atmosphere with Friday drinks, social sport and other annual events like a staff retreat, lawn bowls, EOFY dinner and Melbourne Cup luncheon. I worked at Accru Felsers in Sydney for nine years & really honed my skills and developed my career, the tax & accounting work was enjoyable and the audit work was high quality & well managed. Clients & staff are very happy and each team work well together. Some former audit staff have returned after working in commerce too which is a really great sign of the work style at the firm. Client deadlines can be a little tight, but with the right combination of workflow planning & teamwork you can get good results. I learned so much during my time working as part of the audit team in Sydney. The Audit Partner is approachable and willingly shares knowledge and experience with the team. They offered me a competitive salary combined with the best work-life balance I have ever experienced in my career.
