We are not micro-managed and we have a lot of autonomy which is very gratifying. We can also work from home as needed which is also a huge benefit. Even though we are a small company, we still have profit sharing/retirement benefits with employer match! We are like a family at ACC. The employees are all very dedicated and committed to the success of the company. The company has been in business for over 40 years, and has a very large customer base. Management cares deeply about each employee and is very accommodating and flexible to the employees' needs and requests. There is also no micromanaging at ACC; employees are given the flexibility to be creative and room for independence. We are a small, partially, family business. Being a small business you do need to pull your weight as everyone has a job to do. Some people do multiple jobs. That is the nature of the beast with a small business. You will get to learn as much as you want to learn and you are expected to know everything this company does. There are no specialized workers here. We all do it all. Everyone has a voice and communication is very open and transparent. The owner started the company 40 years ago and still enjoys going on sale's appointments. Huge customer base and has developed a reputation as one of the leaders in telecom in the MD, DC, VA area. Guess how? Answering phones calls from all over the US and emails. Shipping and handling is also squeezed into my day if needed. I have learned that you do your job and treat your customers like they are all number one. Management is great here but it is just a title. We all work together to make something good happen. The hardest part of my job is dealing with Customers and making everyone happy. I came to ACC Telecom from working in a call center environment and was pleasantly surprised by the cultural differences. Everyone at ACC Telecom was friendly, forthcoming and helpful, and worked together to solve problems and share ideas. Everyone was encouraged to share ideas to benefit the company and to submit their input on future company decisions. ACC's staff looks out for the company and each other and no one is micromanaged! ACC's corporate culture is laid back but also serious and professional. It is the perfect blend of attitude and mindset in my opinion. I guess there is a reason why ACC Telecom has so many tenured employees! The compensation and benefits were also on par with the industry average, so no complaints there!
