In the current work environment, I can assure you that there is no other company like Achieve Beyond. So many of my close friends and family work at companies today where they feel as though they are just a body in a seat, doing tons of work for little reward, only used as a ploy to bring in money. At Achieve Beyond, I have been consistently treated as a valued member of a TEAM, working towards the common goal of providing the highest quality of services to children who need it most. My coworkers/manager provide me with consistent training and support when needed, and everyone is always willing to lend a helping hand. The CEO is one of the primary reasons why this company is so great. She makes it a priority to get to know each and every employee. She has an open door to anyone who needs her - she is an excellent teacher, listener, and problem solver. Of course she wants the company to prosper, but she is the first one to acknowledge the accomplishments of her employees because she knows that the success of Achieve Beyond is defined by the success of its staff. She truly wants us to feel recognized for our efforts and our opinions to be heard. I am extremely grateful to my supervisor and to this company for giving me the opportunities I have been offered thus far. But you will probably find yourself disappointed, stressed, and unappreciated. I learned so much about pediatric services from both a public health and educational perspective. I learned so much about how to be successful doing administrative tasks, time management, and interacting with clients and other professionals. I learned a lot of clinical knowledge that I brought with me to my next job. If you play your cards right you will be able to network with a lot of people outside the company depending on your role which will help you find other opportunities. After leaving this company you will feel very prepared for whatever other professional opportunities may come your way. The company offers opportunities to those that may not have a ton of professional experience but unfortunately there is extremely high turnover which gives an air of instability. Most that leave the company resign due to the stress and unsupportive atmosphere. The office is not a very nice place to work as many colleagues seem cold and do not care about your existence in general. This is the corporate world though and many other places can present with a similar icey corporate atmosphere. I often found myself micromanaged and nitpicked for little things and I never felt appreciated or valued. Management offered some support and although they have an open door policy, I never felt heard or understood if they needed to backoff on assigning more work due to extremely high caseload. I never felt listened to as an employee and the managerial style is punitive at best. They will keep piling on the work and wonder why you fail. I feel like clients were of the lowest priority and if you really care about the clients and want to serve them first before the needs of the company, you will find yourself at odds. In my particular department, they couldn't retain hardly any employees and never made changes to have better retention. All this company cares about is the bottom line which makes sense as they are for-profit. But this company is so hypocritical with their policies, expecting subordinates to follow draconian policy while management does not follow it themselves. This company is also very cliquey and if you are not favored by management then you will certainly know. Apply company policy fairly amongst the employees. Very few individuals went out of their way to make me feel welcome. People are scared to speak in the office sometimes as you always feel as though management is watching your every move which makes working here miserable.They push professionalism but gossip is a problem, especially since it is an open-office plan. Although some people can be a nightmare to work with, there are some really caring capable and experienced people. If you need a steady paycheck, take the job and keep looking elsewhere while better opportunities may come your way. I felt like I needed to take my work home as there are not enough hours in the day to complete it. They hardly offer overtime even when you really need it to complete your tasks, especially since I was doing the work of two employees. I often felt as if I was singled out and they try to push you out of the company once they find out they don't personally like you. I also felt set up to fail by the work given to me. Deadlines are extremely hard to meet since they will not offer overtime. Management is not genuine when they ask you if they can help you. Please show employees that work so hard some appreciation. The company has given some ok bonuses before but it is measly when I consider all the extra work I did for free. If this is your only viable opportunity, take it, grow and learn as much as you can, and get out of there before you turn cold and callous like many have turned from working there over the years. If you are a contractor, they offer competitive rates. This is definitely not the best nor the worst Special Education contracting agency to work for to be completely fair. My schedule was somewhat flexible. Most work 9-5:30 or 8:30-5. I loved the mission of the company and helping facilitate services, but the lack of organization and care from upper management outweighed my love for the job. The work hours are 9-5:30, but you will regularly work after hours to feel like you are remotely close to catching up on work. Due to recent events, the company has decided to downsize which means more work with less employees, yet the pay stays exactly the same. Because of this, many people have decided to leave the company because of burnout from doing a 2 person job without extra compensation and lack of understanding from superiors. Even with 3 people in my department alone leaving in the past 2 months, they refuse to hire more people. One would think with 3 people gone you would at least raise the hourly rate of the current employee’s left to pick up the work by at least a dollar or two. HR also likes to do these company surveys that have no real value to them being that the issues that were brought up were met with promises of free lunch totes and our bonuses cut in half. One would think during a time of crisis a company would strive to support their employees any way possible and not run them dry because they are trying to cut corners. Lastly, when employees give honest feedback, please do not dismiss their concerns as something “we just have to figure out” or “you can’t please everyone”, especially when it comes to COVID related concerns with working in the office or an unachievable workload. Such an unprofessional, toxic, law breaking company. Managers all bad mouth each other to employees and create such an unprofessional environment. They are dumb enough to send it through email and text how much they hate the ceo. Compliance officer, aka ceos husband should loose his job for allowing managers and HR director to operate the way they do. I was told I can’t work overtime, but my boss would make me finish tasks after work hours. I’m tired of working for free. I told my manager I wanted to get paid for working after hours. She said we’ll talk about it later, and never brought it up again. HR knows were not being paid and do nothing about it. They see when emails are being sent, and know we’re not getting paid when I send an email at 6:45pm but clocked out at 5:30. HR allows the company to break federal and state labor laws, and ceo keeps them all on payroll. CEO, assistant, and management stayed home when covid hit in March, while the rest of us had to come to work until the company was forced to let us work from home. Profit over people here. I’ve been doing two jobs and asked if I could get paid more. They gave us all a 2% raise (38 cents)to shut us up since we worked through covid and didn’t have the money for our bonus. I was told we’re on a hiring freeze, there’s no money in the budget, but an employee in another department just got thousands of dollars in a raise for 1 job, and she had way less time with the company than most of us. If you hate the company as much as that employee does, you’ll get a raise too. At this point, I had enough. This company is saving thousands of dollar a month by forcing employees to perform their job plus jobs they were not hired to do. I stayed here because I needed a paycheck, but I am done. You do not hold value in managements eyes. They will lie to your face. You will leave work everyday miserable, unsupported, and stressed. I’m looking for a real job with real leadership because my mental health is more important. Seems like they care more about money and functioning like a big bureaucracy than more important things. Clinical supervisors very critical don't seem to allow discretion. If you are an ABA provider but don't have a BCBA you are beneath it all it seems, at least in my experience. If you want to work for an agency that prides itself on things like maximizing email output and appearing as a super efficient company, this is for you. If you want a more relaxed company where you can put your vast experience to use helping children without being treated like what is on paper is of the utmost importance you probably would not be happy here. Managers are bullies. Revolving door for a reason. Company should be investigated for breaking labor laws. I was forced to work while off the clock to get my work completed. My entire department would stay and work after we clocked out. Don't expect to ever take a break because I had to work during my lunch breaks to. I had to adjust my punches to show I took a 30 minute unpaid break even though I never did because my manager had me working. My role was "expanding" was their way to get out of paying me more money for other people's work. I stayed this long because I loved the families I worked with. People are constantly leaving so be prepared to do their job too. HR is a joke. Only there to protect upper management. We all leave because of how terrible the managers are. My manager created an aggressive work environment and HR knew about it. Such a joke when we are told if you have concerns, please bring it to HR or your manager. They are the problem, so good luck with reporting themselves. I tried to talk to someone once but nothing changed, so I decided to leave. They would rather loose 20 great and loyal employees, than fire a toxic manager. Get everything in writing because if it is discussed on the phone, it never happened. HR tried to make me write a good review right in front of them with an iPad during an interview, after working with the company for a few months. Any positive review is fake on here and forced. I worked here for almost two years. CEO is running the company into the ground and allowing management to behave unethically and illegally. You'll make more money at McDonalds and have less stress! The low level employees are great to work with! Office events are a good distraction. Management is unprofessional and terrible. Overworked and underpaid. This company has a great PR sell but there is absolutely NO basis to what they say. The management is overworked and the support offered to BTs is not there. Payroll is a disaster-expect to have problems with your weekly paycheck. The people who schedule jobs are rude. The company only is interested in warm bodies to send to homes so they can bill insurance for your time. BIG turnover!!!! Management should be encouraging and always available to help their employees. Instead they use condescending tones, speak badly of you to other coworkers, and actively complain instead of trying to alleviate the strain from the massive workload that is put upon you with unreal expectations. You are overworked, berated, and even micromanaged to the point that they have the audacity to try and restrict your bathroom times. Instead of working they are sitting there timing how long you take to do your business. I have never felt so anxious in a workplace before. They expect you to sit in your cubicle for 8-9 hrs a day with no bathroom breaks and only pay for a 30 minute lunch break. If you enjoy not utilizing the bathroom, being watched and monitored as if you are some kind of criminal and get paid an unlivable wage, then this is the place for you. Let’s not forget the children they have in management positions gossiping all day instead of working. This company is hilariously mismanaged, has an HR department that is careless and not helpful in any way, and has successfully created an anxious unbearable workplace. Finally, the amount you are paid does not even begin to cover the amount of work you are given and expected to produce within a day. A company of unreal expectations and overall mismanagement breeds a horrible work environment. HR also has you write a positive review right in front of them on this very site after 6 months of working with them. Why would a company need that so desperately from their employees? The best part of working in this office is getting leave at the end of the day and breathe.
