Mission-driven organization. Lots of opportunity to experiment and broaden your experience. The membership is generally very kind and smart.
|
The large size makes it difficult to have a unified strategy. Lots of repeated efforts and difficult to coordinate across units. A rare nonprofit that operates almost like a corporation, both in size and strategy, which could be a pro depending on your perspective. Not a very agile organization - slow to change and respond rapidly.

Certain benefits depend on your manager. Junior employees are forgotten and their professional development is hindered to support their managers growth within the company. The status quo is the law-of-the-land. Don't try to affect any change here. You will be viewed as a threat and publicly treated as such.
