There are quarterly and annual reviews to reflect on performance and roadmap your career. However, there are no opportunities to grow. There is a lack of job openings and there is a preference to take outside hires rather than promoting from within no matter how perfect your review and metrics look. If you’re in management, Sr. Managers are aligned with individual contributors, but anyone above that (Director, Sr. Director) are mainly just yes/no people. • It was difficult to have an ownership mindset when you need multiple buy-ins to get things done so you work a lot to achieve nothing. That being said, you become less competitive in the job market if you stay here for years because what AC competitors are doing, they’ve been doing for years. Such as Product-Led Growth. • Being pressured to leave a 5-star review because Glassdoor ratings are low and that a low Glassdoor review equates to low quality applicants. • Salary is not market competitive, which is why they’re focusing on hiring in hubs because they are able to offer lower. • I’ve gone through 4 rounds of layoffs even though they keep saying that ActiveCampaign is profitable and raised $250 million in 2020. It was also tone deaf after eliminating a whole department that a C-Suite exec got promoted. • Customer org is highly overworked. If you’re going to join that org, good luck because you will need to report what your output is every hour. • ActiveCampaign positions itself as a remote-friendly company, but it really isn’t. You have 10 business days per calendar year to work outside of the US if you’re in the US. • Open PTO doesn’t mean unlimited PTO and will be used against you if you take time off because your already overworked team members will be overworked even more so you’re guilt trip. • What DEI? Anyone who's been around the tech industry for a while knows how sneaky they are to avoid the warn act, and AC is among the sneakiest at doing incremental layoffs to hide under the radar of regulation. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 1.0 1.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 1285946 Open Toxic leadership hires other toxic leadership, and Jason's refusal to change has destroyed the culture and company from within. Those eaus are truly paper money and with revenue down a huge amount, the president being booted one year after hire, and 25% of the company laid off, AC is a submarine made of carbon fiber on it's last ride to the bottom. Avoid doing sketchy things, the FLSA lawsuit against the company was incredibly embarrassing. Trying to get as much out of sales people by making them salaried when they should have been hourly. AC is the exact company that claims to care about their people and their action are the opposite, and the leadership in all teams is quite white. Decent salary. No direction, managers change strategy every quarter to check "what works". Most of the team are contractors who dont speak good english or understand what the customers are talking about.
