Terrible leadership who do not care about the people. We are totally expendable to them. Their poor management and lack of direction has created an environment of the lowest morale I have ever seen, a completely ineffective market position, and a company that is circling the drain of failure and sinking lower with every passing quarter.

I really enjoyed working with everyone on the engineering team.
|
They like laying off employees. In 2023, they did not give us raises so they didn't have to lay anyone off. Then they did a round of layoffs a couple months later. Then they question why we are not getting the multiple "top priority" projects done on time. As of today, they did another large round of layoffs. I feel bad for the folks still there picking up all the pieces.

Their company values are not put into practice. Ex: they preached their DEI values, while allowing a client to use the software to spread Anti-Trans and Anti-LGBTQ messaging. Everyone on this team is a number and treated as such. Our team was held to metrics that we weren't informed about until after we didn't hit them. Cannot recommend working elsewhere enough.

The benefits are almost non-existent (and there are less of them every year), the business outlook is looking pretty grim, and the product needs so much work to compete. The company tends to outsource important jobs and cutting corners to save a buck, which reflects on the quality of the product.
- No 401K match
- Act-On’s financials are suffering and leadership takes it out on the employees
- The company seems unstable
- No upward mobility and no credit where credit is due—especially for women of color (I’m neither and have received more opportunities)
- Nonexistent culture and diversity regardless of effort
- No bonuses, very few benefits, and merits are uncertain
- More layoffs are inevitable—let’s just hope they don’t lay off more of the product and engineering teams since the product needs a miracle
