Good: Allowed remote work and people were great to work with.
Bad: Wasn't enough heads to get critical projects done. Laid off development staff anyways. Culture is sad. They even let go the Culture and Employee engagement director because the executive team just doesn't care.

Good place to start your career but not a good place if you're trying to further yourself. There is stability here. Ask for help as much as possible, especially during these "covid" times. Mentorship is very key. You need that one person you can ask anything and everything.

Great people, less-great work

I really loved my team at Act-On, first off. Such a great team, and good managers who I really got to connect with. Weekly 1:1s with management to address any issues was awesome, and I always felt like my manager cared about how I was doing. Act-On has done great through COVID, making it clear that the health of their employees is important to them. Scheduling flexibility has never been an issue for me here.
Drawbacks are that there was not a clear path upwards there. It seemed hard to get a promotion, and even more difficult to ever get a raise - not even a tiny 2% annual raise to account for inflation. No one in my department - even people who had been there for 2 or 3 years - got a raise during the time I was with Act-On. I did not see a future with this company, despite how much I loved the people there.
