Poor leadership, false promises, a cap in pay. The management has had 2 positive pay adjustments in a year and yet they refuse to increase hourly or commission pay. While they say VCI’s can “write their own paycheck “ they penalize you when their arbitration department unwinds or pays out for something missed on the inspection by taking your commission for that vehicle. Even if it wasn’t the inspectors fault. The managers will tell you that they’re going to promote you and then promote from outside the company or region. They pay you mileage for putting 35-45k miles on your car but you’ll be switching your vehicle out every few years. They will also weaponize HR and DEI policies.

All of you at some point were car salesmen. Stop being slimy. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Take care of your paycheck to paycheck employees before you give yourselves a raise. And no, increasing commissions by $5 a vehicle after you inspect a specific amount is not a raise.

It's a job, not much more to say.
|
The place feels slimy. Zero transparency, poor leadership, alternative facts. Leadership has production locked down, but when they break it somehow it is a subordinate's responsibility. No training so most have no idea how to do something correctly, seems a bit too purposeful like plausible deniability. I see reviews about how great the benefits are, though they aren't, average at best. Management is toxic, everyone is expendable, don't dare go against the grain. Rumors of fraud are constant & probably true. Feels like the whole thing exists for stock valuation, which is lining the pockets of the C suite.

Create lasting relationships with with used car managers and General sales managers that open doors for when you inevitably leave this company
|
Pay is less than stellar, incompetent management, revolving door of middle management, nepotism. Advise for new VCIs, find something in common and become friends with the used car manager of your best dealership in your territory. 9 times out of 10, they will offer you a job that pays you way more.

Stop bringing in people from outside the company that are “friends” with upper management for middle management roles. Would it not make sense to have someone who has been working for the company for two years be promoted just for the simple fact of knowing people that are already using our platform? Pay the VCIs better. We hear about it all of the time how VCIs are the “backbone of the company” then why can they go to McDonald’s and make more? Also, you have more territories than just buffalo, east coast, Texas, and California, regional sales directors hardly ever come out to your territory but tell you “everything is fine” newsflash, when sales are down month over month and year over year it’s not “fine”
