Great People & Product!
Ada has the most intelligent, capable and team-first employees of any company I have worked for.
People are an absolute joy to work with and even being 100% remote, I've developed great relationships.
Product is industry-leading and excited about the potential of growth as we focus on North America.
Work flexibility and work-life balance is excellent.
Strong culture of discovery and personal/professional growth is encouraged and time is now allocated during working hours for this growth.
Underfunded and understaffed business development function
Health insurance benefits management has been highly frustrating to deal with.
Like other places I've worked, there is some nepotism at play and low performers allowed to stick around due to favoritism.

Hire more sales people!
Take performance management more serious and don't keep people around just because you "like them" or they tell you what you want to hear. Everyone else knows who these people are and it's demotivating for those that work hard and perform well.

Lacks focus, constant management shuffling, and lacks pay transparency and reasonable pay
The product is amazing. While hiccups happen, the core offering functions well, and is rarely a source of issues.
Management is out of touch with reality. Demand for greater pay transparency was met with meetings where they refused to answer questions. The management team refuses to increase compensation to keep up with inflation, and leaves employees suffering while spending large amounts of money on international travel for events.
When a project is being discontinued it tends to sit in limbo for a long period of time, with no clear answers or steps forward. Accessability and equity remains a problem, and things as basic as pronouns are frequently missed by members of the team.

Meaningful work with an engaging and motivated team
What stands out at Ada Health is how we use technology to power our marketing strategies. It's not just about ads and campaigns; it's about building systems that can scale and adapt. It feels more like engineering solutions than just marketing,
I have been working here for 10 months and have been blown away by the positive energy and supportive habits that the team at large demonstrates. My teammates believe in and are aligned behind the underlying mission of Ada, which I distill down to "we help people".
With a nearly fully remote workforce across multiple time zones, it can be difficult to align calendars. It is important to over communicate requirements and expectations in requests, as the person completing the request may be doing so when you are offline.

Great people, strong purpose, brilliant product
We have some of the most amazing people I have ever worked with across Tech, Medical and Product.
We are now a successful and profitable business.
Flexible and remote working is a big plus at Ada, but we also have some lovely offices.
There's lots of autonomy and opportunity to make a difference and have a big impact.
The industry has been tough to work in with tight cost control needed to reach profitability
We had layoffs in the past but not in 2023 and not expecting to have these in 2024 either.
High level of compliance. We are a medical regulated device.

Let go from probation with weird cause

Good technology, a lot of attention to details.
Lack of transparency and not-so-well communicated expectations. Culture is selective and building trust is a hefty process. The personal development opportunities are vague.

Bad, arrogant, irresponsible, poor management. HR are always against you. No mission, ever changing goals, and lots of burn out. The founders are the worst, inhumane behavior. Poor salary.
