Great place to work!
Small company that is doing BIG things. Honestly an amazing place to work. Very cool people. Tons of information gained from just being an intern.
Their internship is for credit only. Unpaid internships are no longer viable in most cases, especially in Columbus where paid internships are easily found.

Great leadership, great people, great work.
Adept's strong leadership stood out to me most while working there, evident in the vibrant work environment and the exceptional results for clients. The founders and managers put a lot of effort into making you feel like a human who is cared about, treated respectfully, they take interest in you as a person and not just a pawn who makes them money, and often you feel like they're working for you more so than you're working for them. Much of it is likely intentional because they know it is the right way to get the most out of your staff, but when you get to know them it's obvious that they're actually good people who genuinely care about others.
The people were all very friendly, mature, easy to work with. I never heard office gossip, and rarely any negativity/complaining about anything really, nothing but good attitudes (which is grossly underrated in the workplace). The closest thing to what an outsider may refer to as "office politics" was the subtle lobbying to the office administrator about which office pantry snacks to get on the next Sam's Club run. There were never any of these overly complex Sex-and-the-City-level superficial games that I keep hearing about in other work environments.
The work was very high-level, everything was done the right way. Marketing services yielded strong ROIs for clients, websites we made were gorgeous and user-friendly. The average Adept employee is much more knowledgeable of their work than the average digital agency employee, in my experience. I was in the data/analytics department, fresh out of college. Compared to my coworkers I knew very little of my field after a few months of training, and I viewed myself as a novice in the industry. At my new job as a project manager (not at a marketing agency), I talk to digital agencies who bid on my clients' projects, and to my surprise I was much more knowledgeable of the data/analytics than the analytics staff at most of the agencies. These agencies have more people, each with less responsibility, less knowledge, lots of unnecessary red tape that impedes their productivity, and the people who talk to you simply do not command the authority that the average Adept employee commands. While my experience is anecdotal, the revenue divided by number of employees is higher for Adept than for many other digital agencies, so there's some data that might suggest the average Adept employee creates more value. What's that quote, "train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don't want to", that's very true at Adept, which I attribute again to the great leadership. Ironically I did leave Adept, but for family/personal reasons I had to move and change jobs unrelated to Adept, and I do miss working there and the people.
My manager was extremely busy, which I wrongfully perceived as being too busy to train me/answer questions (they gladly make the extra time to train as long as you communicate effectively). I only say this is a "con" because other people might make the error of thinking the leadership is unapproachable, based on past experience with other bosses/leaders at other companies/groups who look down on you for asking for help.
