The people are great. The job is what you make it.

Lack of advancement opportunities. Pay is not super competitive (recently they’ve improved commission percentage but salaries still low). The internal hierarchy/structure often disorganized. Lots of employee turnover as a result.

I have autonomy in my job, although I do answer to a boss, and I don't have to deal with a lot of people.

There isn't much uniformity from shop to shop and there's not a lot of commraderie within shops which is unfortunate.

Foster relationships in your distribution centers and reward teams who help each other and support one another. We understand that the paper is dying off and soon it will cost too much to print the paper version and distribute it. But there are a number of loyal, hardworking individuals who have been doing this for years. There is no social security, benefits, nor paid days off in this gig. At least let us contractors know how much we meant before you close this chapter of publishing for good.
