Company is very woke and political - a lot of Ivy league elitism

Worked at company for 15+ years - used to be a fun place with a great culture. Just like most financial firms DEI or more appropriately DIE took over the culture. The managing partners who we all used to respect became champions of pressive elitism. They are obvious clueless to the challenges of people who are not multi-millionaires. Shamefully profits from China led to a pro-global anti-American culture. Sadly our great founder passed in 2019 - and the company went political after that.

All talk and no action, this company couldn't care less about you

I left a good job to work at Advent, thinking that the opportunity I'd have here was even better than the opportunity I had with my former employer. Advent made promises for not only my starting position and benefits, but also for my potential for career advancement, and few of them came through or are likely to come through. The firm is even willing to lose incredibly valuable talent due to policies that make absolutely no sense.
The return to office after (sorry, *during*) COVID has been a disaster. Two or three corpses (to be clear, the ancient men who are supposed to be firm leadership) crawled out of their coffins to have an "honest" discussion (definition: waste of time) with their employees about how we've had a banner year of productivity working from home, but also we aren't nearly as productive working from home. They refused to answer any of our substantive questions, nothing new was provided, and it will probably never happen again. I'm not sure if that's a good thing.
If you interview here, expect to be told you can reach your goals in three to five years. Expect to be told that you will be supported and cared for. Expect to be told a lot of things, but don't expect any of it to actually come through. Advent quickly beat any expectations I had out of me, so you might as well not have any of your own when you walk through the door.

A typical day at work for me starts with processing employee expense reports using Concur, using SAP to track ACH and wire transactions, making new vendor files and submit them to A/P supervisor for approval, sending out checks and filing vouchers and cooperate with the deal and general ledger team, etc. I have developed a strong ability to communicate within the organization and time management. The hardest part of the job is acquiring contracts from vendors and constantly update with vendors is necessary. I will always make sure to meet the deadline and check all the details for each transaction.
