you can be upfront about anything. if you have a good manager he will listen. But i had seen opposite with some for my colleague.

if you are fresher the then you better negotiate or you will be paid very less then what you may worth. this also continuous for your first hike.
another thing this did not happen with be but i have seen may of colleague who were thrown in completely different tech stack if there is an requirement even in testing domain.

I have been working with AFour Technologies from last 1.5 years and I have never seen a company like it, which always think about employees, it's not a big scale company, but yes it has all the facilities which we expects as an employee.
As an Engineer the important thing I liked in AFour is, You have all freedom, like work from home facility, in office you can work from desktop or from sitting on desk, standing desks, reception sofa's ... so on. As a company if they have given all freedom to you then obviously they will make sure that the deliverables should be on time and customer should be satisfiend and happy. This type of user friendly, work oriented & flexible environment I have never seen before.
