A great place to thrive

As the headline states, Agent Image is a great place to thrive. Obviously everyone has their own definition of what that means. To me, it means having a fantastic work/life balance, the ability to earn a legit six- figure income and laugh more before 9:00 am in one day than in most corporate environments all week. Been in a sales environment where they make you wear a suit to work to feel ‘professional’ even though you are selling over the phone? LOL on that one. If you wear a button down shirt here, people will think you are interviewing for another job! Got kids you have to pick up from school and have to leave early? Dentist appt? Wanna beat traffic? It’s easy for me to say yes to these because you are treated like, and expected to act like an adult. What a unique concept!? We have built an incredible, team-first culture where sales people know that everyone has your back instead of trying to do all the underhanded things you’ve more than likely experienced on other sales floors. Favoritism for the top sales person? Special treatment for my most experienced sales person? The worst leads and limited opportunities for the new person? Not here. From day one, if you make it from the interview room onto the sales floor, you are treated like family. (Ok, so you aren’t going to get the glengarry leads from day one.)
We value desire, work ethic and personality above being a great salesperson. We can teach anyone to close deals here because of the pitch we have put in place. It just naturally leads to the closing question. I mean, can you ask, “ Are you ready to get started?” If so, then you can thrive here. In fact, one of my best hires was a bar tender with no inside sales experience.
Are you too good-looking to only sell over the phone? Well then you’ll have plenty of opportunity to travel to conventions and conferences in places such as Las Vegas, New Orleans, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Orlando to name a few. How about team events we earn for hitting our goals? Maestros pent house, go-karting, party buses to Palm Springs for the weekend, sushi and karaoke, many many more but the most unforgettable would be Guns N Roses at the Forum, 5 feet from Axl, Slash and Duff down in the pit.
You may read this and think I’m biased. I get it. It’s my job and I wouldn’t want to jeopardize that. Or, maybe paint a great picture that really isn’t the case so I can attract good candidates. Possibly. That still wouldn’t change all the wonderful experiences I’ve had at this company in the last 10 years. Looking forward to many more. Maybe with you! Check us out.

1. Benefits are minimal. Company sponsored retirement is akin to a day my wife doesn’t yell at me- Non existent.
2. I tell everyone who interviews that it takes a good 3 months to ramp up and build a sales pipeline. We have few, ‘one-call’ close opportunities so you can’t force a sale to pay the bills or you just won’t be here long-term. Been proven many times. Doesn’t matter if you think you are the world’s best sales person. Therefore, as we make very clear in the interview, you must be in a good place financially and not stressed about making a quick commission to be a good team member.
3. If you interview well but aren’t the same person that gets on the sales floor, it’ll be a short stay. Example; you are very confident and articulate in the interview but you sit one desk away from me and I can’t hear you when you are on the phone.
4. Wouldn’t it be nice to sell something that has to be produced and the company was perfect and never made a mistake or didn’t live up to a client’s expectations? Well. Keep looking then because we are a company of human beings so yes, sales people have to occasionally deal with upset clients. Not fun but a great opportunity to show our clients we care and they aren’t just a ‘sale’ to us.
4. Not a great place if you consider yourself a, “One call closer” or any other craigslist term to describe a sales superstar. ( Funny how many of those ads always have a product that literally sells its self but yet they need a killer closer! ) You must be able to establish a relationship so if you don’t have a clear professional voice, good written skills ( we email and text lot!) and tenacity, then we won’t be a good fit.
5. The worst part of this job is not unique to our target market-Real Estate Agents, but every sales environment. Getting ghosted by someone with whom you had a great conversation or being told, “Call me tomorrow and we will get started” and then never hearing from them again, can be very frustrating. An important part of my job is keeping salespeople from getting too low and caught up in that. (And too full of themselves if they close a big deal or have a great month!)

Amazing Company With An Even Better Culture

If your looking for an amazing company where you can make real money and actually have fun doing it, look no further! Let’s face it- sales jobs where you can make good money are usually not worth the stress and they are hard to find. You know those companies that tell you that making 100k is reasonable. Yeah, if you work 8 days a week and have octopus arms, making 8 outbound calls at once. With Agent Image, the money is solid and what you make (on top of a reasonable base pay) is totally up to you. The hours are standard but the flexibility for Doctors appointments, etc is totally there. As a matter of fact, that flexibility is encouraged as long as you are putting up reasonable numbers. The owners are top notch as owners, but also as people. They do not spare an expense when it comes to showing how much they appreciate you which is really nice. We have had dinners at some of the nicest restaurants in Los Angeles as well as a couple of trips as well. Added bonus.

You have to make a lot of outbound calls so if that’s not your thing, this may be a tough job for you. If you want to just blend in to a company and not be a team player (team events, dinners, trips) you may have difficulty in this environment

Feels like a family!

Lot's of long time employees. Tight knit family feel. All of the owners are the original owners since the company started in '99, and they are still very involved in the company. It's really cool to feel heard. When there are things that need improvement, I feel like I can make suggestions, or get approval to implement new concepts and see changes come into fruition. -- It's very different from other companies where if things are bad, it just "is what it is" and you have to deal with it with a smile, or leave the company. It's been very cool to see so much progress over the years.

Things are growing quickly (which really isn't a con), but being agile enough to keep up with the growth is something that needs to be worked on.
And the building is in between owners so they have been renovating for a long time. Everything is almost nice and brand new, but it'll probably be another year before they finish.

Casual work environment with no dress code, potential for fairly decent commissions, flexible schedule and ability to work from home, fun team and cool people.

Operations are poorly managed which leads to a lot of escalations. Working with real estate agents and brokers is difficult. Benefits are basically non-existent. Limited growth potential.
