Did I mention a complete stock of caffeine? Such as our own redbull cooler (fully stocked 24/7) and all the coffee you can drink to get you going every day! Trying to fatten us up by buying tasty snacks all the time. Flexible schedule as long as you get your work done and cover your hours. Food is purchased most Fridays to reward the employees. One big family here. They clean out the fridge on friday's so make sure to take home any left overs from the week. They pay well and their benefits package is decent, but it's not worth being robbed of happiness at the workplace. They like to play on the fact that they won a 'best place to work award,' but we (the employees) were all told to expect a questionnaire in our email and that they would see the results...surprisingly they were included on the 'best places to work' list in the local paper! : | This was truly the worst job I've ever had in my entire career. It was (until 12/2014) owned by two men. One bullied and disrespected the other openly, which really set the tone with how the employees treat one another. At the end of the year 2014, the two of them had daily screaming matches in the office, all during work hours. Awkward. There was much gossip around the office as to what was going on, but we were only given a stern warning not to tell anyone the second owner was leaving because he was buying the other guy out with an illegal loan. Again...awkward..... The (now sole) owner is non-communicative and gruff, which leads to a myriad of problems. If you have a question about a task and have to go ask him to clarify, it's risky. He will sometimes ridicule and demean you in a manner that makes you feel like a puppy who has just been beaten with a newspaper. Because of this, most times no one asks questions, which in turn produces an ill-equipped, ineffective and inefficient workforce. There is no "team" mentality here - exactly the opposite is instilled. Employees are often pitted against one another via gossip and backbiting - often coming from the owner and his family. It is 'every man for himself' so be prepared for some elbows to the face. This is so unfortunate, because there are many good people who work here and with the right leadership, they could achieve so much as a team. I gave up on trying to help this happen - it simply cannot be done with the present owner. In short, this workplace environment is extremely unhealthy. It has the appearance of fun, but once you get acclimated to the day-to-day norm, you'll discover it's anything but fun.
