The AICPA is a great place to work. After working for two public accounting firms, the work life balance is great (average under 45/week and wfh every day). I've seen regular opportunities for advancement and professional growth. More importantly, though, the AICPA gives me a chance to impact hundreds of thousands of CPAs through my work every day. My team is all about serving the profession, and I find dedicating my career to the success of others very rewarding.

As an organization, we can be overly aggressive and try to take on too much. This can impact our effectiveness as management tries to juggle myriad priorities.

There's a lot of talk about the future but not enough action. Sometimes these discussions come at the expense of the employees. There's also been a focus to make a more global office at the expense of jobs in Durham. Currently there's no upward mobility. Leadership isn't diverse at all levels.

Invest in the talent you already have. If you want to diversify your leadership, look from within first instead of looking outward. Otherwise people will continue to feel trapped in their roles and see no future with the company.
Additionally, show us tangible evidence of actions you're taking to improve what you claim you will. It feels like the same message on the future of the company has been said over and over again for the past year or so with no actual progress.
