Akademos is a very laid back work place. Everyone is willing to help. True definition of a Team environment. As an account manager you will be able to have input throughout many areas of the company.

Starting salary is a low compared to other corporate companies. Other than that no complaints. Akademos is a growing company better things ahead.

Akademos is overall a great place to work.

Relaxed work environment that allows you to work with multiple departments and wear many hats. Upper Management has an open door policy and are always open to new ideas, concerns or if you need assistance with anything. CEO has made great strides since coming on with Akademos and has shown he is 100% all in with the growth of the company and the employees who help make it work. No Micro-Management from upper management you are trusted to do your job and do it in a timely fashion, treated like adults. Friendly, young co-workers makes for a fun laid back workspace that makes it actually enjoyable to come to work. Bright open office space which makes a huge difference when spending 8 1/2-9 hours there each day. Team environment, everyone works together and it's pet friendly!

Lack of structure in certain areas of business like Human Resources, being a small company there is not dedicated HR department and communication is sometimes lacking. Salaries are below average for the area and the health benefits are not the greatest, being a small company that is growing this could change in the future. The amount of sick time you are allowed should be more, five is very unrealistic. Some positions could be filled with better qualified candidates. Does not match 401k, at least not yet.

Spend more time looking at the structure of how the company runs, for Human Resources get an Office Manager/HR Generalist someone who knows how to handle vacations, sick time, health benefits, 401k advice, etc. More communication between all departments about happenings in the company or staff and/or policy changes.

• Not micro-managed, work autonomously
• Good entry-level experience, management and other co-workers all very friendly/patient & open to questions
• Good work/life balance. Occasional long hours, but mainly everyone is out by 5:30/6. Schedule flexibility (work from home, etc. as long as you don’t take advantage)
• Small company, so opportunity to work closely with all departments / upper management
• Upper management cares about company’s success, and employees. Always open to new ideas/opinions/requests, and acts on them to make changes.
• Great general Account Management experience: responsible day-to-day support of client accounts; making sure client inquiries are fulfilled. Maintain Account satisfaction and retention.
• Laid back environment with awesome co-workers makes coming to work everyday enjoyable.

• Lower than average starting salary
• Company successful and growing, but no clear path/structure to move up/advance career
• Company as a whole a bit disorganized at times – (but could be growing pains of a smaller company growing larger)
• No real “training program” so if you need 100% structure, this is not the company for you. (Clearer training regimens are in the works for new hires.)
