The learning curve can be steep at first, but AGI has such a broad breadth and depth within revenue growth that you'll always have an opportunity to gain great experience. Leaders truly support a work-life balance. "Purposeful travel" is encouraged and consultants are not required to travel Monday-Thursday. Senior leaders are invested in their people and spend significant time ensuring team members are receiving the training and development needed. Small firm so amazing access to both clients and internal leaders. Even BAs have the opportunity to present to clients and lead discussions once they demonstrate capability . Travel is only as needed, rarely do we spend Mon-Thu at client site . Office culture is fun (experience limited to San Francisco office) - lot of new hires so fresh energy . Leaders are focused on ensuring everyone can incorporate life and work i.e. structure isn't rigid like at bigger firms (from what I hear from friends) . Overall, folks are fun and easy to work with - I enjoy hanging out with my colleagues both during the work day and evenings when we wrap up work . Some benefits lacking (401K, health), especially compared to tech companies in the Bay Area . Hours can be long and unpredictable . Great co-workers; intelligent and social. A very good place to learn about sales compensation. To learn about sales comp from David Cichelli is the greatest, and one of the only, perks. Big egos and even bigger drinkers! Seriously, these guys let off steam in a serious way. Leadership is white male dominant - just look at their website. The firm will suck every ounce of life they can out of you without any chance for replenishment. Zero culture, poorly structured - no HR, bonuses are mediocre unless you are part of senior leadership and have profit sharing. Since day one, I have not had a single issue with anyone across the entire firm. It's a very collaborative culture where everyone is willing to stop what they are doing and help you out, regardless of your role or title. In addition to having a great team, we also get to work with unique clients across multiple industries. I've learned so much from people inside the firm and a great deal from folks outside the firm. Learning: You never stop. Not to sound cliche, but I have learned something new every day that I have worked here. There are some many people willing to help, an extensive amount of training material, training sessions, and on-the-job training. While occasionally interesting work like diagramming a buyers' journey project happens, most of the projects are focused on compensation design models. While AGI has a strong model, from a consultant's perspective, it's very repetitive work. Also don't expect training of any kind outside of training on the compensation design model. Not a place to go to build business acumen or additional skills.
