Some interesting technical challenges for the niche market.
|
Upper management is awful, lots of lying and backstabbing and two-facedness. There are LOTS of people there who don't do much but keep their jobs because of politics and/or spouses/family members, if you aren't associated with someone in upper mgmt. you will be asked to carry the weight of those people while getting paid less. Salary is very uncompetitive. Mgmt is non-appreciative. This is NOT a job for someone who is excited to be working in this industry and willing to heavily contribute, you will not be rewarded.

There is some interesting technology here and some smart people to work with.
|
Management is opaque. They don't tell the employees anything. Mgmt is unfair, they hire friends, family and practice favoritism. Employees are teated as expendable and just cogs in the wheel.

Some of the technical non-managers are quite experienced and are good to work with, you can learn things from them.
|
Mgmt is terrible. They hire their friends and their spouses and give special treatment to the people they hang out with over more qualified employees. Furthermore, Mgmt has no clue what employees are doing what projects and who is contributing, which makes it impossible for them to assess employees' abilities. Mgmt also underpays their employees, you can make quite a bit more somewhere else.
