private:alzheimersassociation https://www.indeed.com/cmp/alzheimer's-association/reviews Oct 1st, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Open Alzheimer's Association What didn’t I do? Region 8 Poor management and decisive culture If you are not prepared to suck up to leadership and inflate their egos then this is not the job for you. Toxic culture is encouraged, and is a real life version of mean girls. Staff will lie to get others in trouble and when multiple staff go to the ED or HR to report it is swept under the rug by them and HR. Region 8 this is pointed at you. Staff in development are talked down to continually by leadership that has never even managed their own walk. Money is wasted continually. If you have a concern they are quick to pair you with a rep from HR who will have a wonderful time belittling you with passive aggressive remarks that will have you questioning your morals and integrity, I’m assuming that gaslighting 101 is a course that must be offered to them. Just don’t do it, no matter how desperate you are for a job. Yes it is a wonderful cause, but let’s be real. Most of those walk dollars are simply going to cover the salaries of the walk positions. So let’s say a walk raised 150k and their are 3 positions in that office, and each is paid at least 40k that means that only 30k is going towards the “mission”. To me that is not a good return on my investment. Programs leadership is a joke. Get it together HJ and revamp your leadership. You could be a great organization but not with the leadership that is currently in place. But hey if your sadistic enjoy torturing your employees, and lording over them with the threats of job loss then you may be a perfect fit for management. The mission is no longer about helping people it is about data mining and harassing people to the point of driving them away. The people with this disease are the true victims because you waste so much money it is simply driving you farther away from finding a cure They weren’t successful in stealing my soul. Management played favorites. Some people were completely overworked and others came and went as they pleased - doing very little for the association and relying on volunteers to do their job. Poor mgt, no respect for those who really work to help those with Alzheimer’s and dementia. More focused on the dollars than helping those they profess to serve. private:alzheimersassociation https://www.indeed.com/cmp/alzheimer's-association/reviews Aug 25th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Open Alzheimer's Association Walk Manager Indianapolis, IN USA Greater Indiana Chapter is a Toxic Work Environment You will regret taking a job at the Indiana Chapter. The chapter executive presents externally like a shiny new penny but is demeaning and diminutive to staff. This culture has allowed the director of development to threaten and scream at staff. Expectations change constantly with no encouragement or positive feedback given. Just the constant message that you and the team are under-performing (even when key metrics are exceeded). Performance reviews are given like a punch in the gut with the expectations of the current chapter executive never able to be met. Warning - do not work here! private:alzheimersassociation https://www.indeed.com/cmp/alzheimer's-association/reviews Jul 14th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Open Alzheimer's Association Director Seattle, WA USA The Washington Chapter is a big mess due to poor leadership There are two men at the top of the leadership chain that lack emotional intelligence. Very poor leadership. Discriminatory behavior and no concern for employees. Their current focus is all about fundraising goals that are pre-covid and 100% unreasonable. Very high stress atmosphere. Poor stafff morale. Leadership is arrogant and treats women staff and volunteers different than men. I witnessed them take advantage of and treat volunteers with disrespect and condescending attitudes. You do not want to be a part of this hot mess. Great Volunteers, good Benefits, Strong CEO State and regional leadership is arrogant and lack proper business ethics 0.0 0.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 Jan 17th, 2021 10:57AM Mar 19th, 2021 08:03PM Alzheimer's Association
