This company is disorganized, chaotic, poorly run and zero training. They throw you into jobs you have no idea what is even going on. A trained circus monkey can do most of the jobs here but they expect you to understand the process and know how to do a job with little to no training. The people spend most of there time looking for ways to get out of work and when there not doing that they sit around and talk trash about each other behind each others backs. Very small and boring town unless you just want to kill some animals and get drunk. Its an old oil town so the locals are all very jaded. They go thru employees like water on a hot day due to the company culture and horrible management. The coworkers are very clicky. Its like high school or more grade school here. Its an interesting process learning how sugar is made from beets but other than that its a typical factory job. Overall the best part of this company is they are very safety oriented.Safety is very high with this company which you don't find often.Theres the normal drama at times with the employees,but overall not a bad place to work. A week off every rotation if you are a shift worker. Two weeks of orientation only to stuff you into a section of the fsvtory they wouldn't even let you go to during tours. employees are nice enough to show you the ropes but the managers get upset when things aren't done to their specifications despite not showing said specifications. very hostile environment where certain positions fulfil 4 to 5 roles at once while being scolded for attempting to do them. you're expected to work hard but can actively watch managers and select staff watching football while you rush from station to station. would not recommend being employed here, its the only position I've ever had to walk out on. certain staff make the job acceptable managers with lack of management skills 0.0 0.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 3.0 3.0 1.0 Jan 17th, 2021 11:32AM Mar 19th, 2021 08:00PM American Crystal Sugar Consumer Goods

Pay & benefits My pay and benefits at American Crystal Sugar Company are fantastic. 401k, HSA, Pension, Vacation, Holiday Pay, and plenty of overtime for those who want it. Overall My experience working at American Crystal Sugar Company has set the standard for what I expect from any employers I may have in the future. Great Pay, amazing benefits. The job was interesting and fun. The most enjoyable part of the job was the people that I got to work with and learn from. I still keep in touch with some of the people who work here. I got along with my supervisor good. A typical day at work during the summer was very busy, during the winter it was very hot inside the building in some parts but typically a little less busy. Lots of lunches and dinners bought and shared for the team. Can get lots of overtime if you want it.
