OK but...
|
Very few advancement opportunities, disparity in promotions with one employee/office versus another. It's more about who you know than what you do for the company. You can work hard, learn, develop your skills within your role, but your fellow far less ambitious coworker will be rewarded with higher pay and opportunities than you. No guidelines to promotions. It is just whatever they feel like doing.

Horrible work environment

Would not recommend anyone start your career with amica. All smiles and grins in your face but gossip and degrading behind your back. Some Am’s THINK they can belittle you, Sales goals are unreachable due to the extremely high premium. Instead of the company taking responsibility for the price they pick and choose something about YOU and blame that for the reason you and everyone else is not selling. They prop up the reps that are obviously cheating or getting better leads then you like the entire office can’t see it. Nothing but threats of write ups because of sales no matter how good you’ve done in the past. If you love a stressed, up and down, never guaranteed type of environment then have at it.

I’ve been working at amica for a while now. I am noticing the workload has tripped for us sales reps. The bonus structure isn’t producing commission because of the high premiums. We can only value sell so much. Pay is on the low end for all the work we do. They raises each year are a dollar if that. Management is always busy so it’s hard to sell when you have no immediate support.

Great if you like stress.

They train you on processes and not for the position itself. It was a failure to begin with and no one took the time to level up the training. They give you the work amount of 3 people and expect you to keep up with no problems. You become back logged if you miss a day and can almost never recover. The stress alone with make you leave because they do not pay enough for the work that they require you to do.

There's no support from upper management. Human resources sides with management and doesn't treat employees fairly.
I worked long hours and still was criticized whenever I had something I needed to bring up. It was my fault and not looked into further.
I wanted to do the best job I could but the environment made it very challenging to do so or to continue to take initiative.
I would not recommend working here as a career choice.
