The good thing about this company is that you do learn new skills as they take the projects no one else in the industry wants to take.

Small company that is getting smaller by the day as people are tired and leaving literally every week. I worked there for a little more than a year in which I learned a lot by training myself and asking everyone else around me how to do stuff. They do not have any training, they basically set you up for failure. Salary is super low for the work you do there. Since everyone is leaving employees are super overloaded. Upper management is a JOKE. For a small company as this one you would expect the CEO to interact more with the employees but I’m pretty sure he doesn’t even know who works there. He never even tries to interact with the employees. If you do decide to work there be really careful with the payroll person as she will try to come up with any excuse to not properly compensate you. Make sure to check your paycheck every month and do your own calculations because apparently she can’t do simple math. The only good thing about this company is the people and the friendships you make there. If I could give this company a zero rating I would. Save yourself some time and don't work there.

No transparency in the company, impossible to find information about products , services, or research on company database. If they dont actually want you to do something well they put the task into the company database so that nothing can be tracked.
This is a CHEAP place to work. Everything is cheap. EVERYTHING.
Will cut costs only to have to do a more expensive workaround.
Work Culture can be toxic
If you are not Indian, Asian or speak Chinese, you will not fit in here.
You will not get training
In place of training micromanagement and gaslighting will start
Management not receptive to being a normal workplace
Bad behavior attributed to a 'startup' culture, when in fact, this company has been around for 11 years.
Stuck in the 90's with technology and unable and unwilling to get up to speed with current technology.
Get ready to hear 'Ive done it that way before', this is X dept its the /wild west', etc when you ask for people to plan their projects.
This is a very reactive company. All you will do is put out proverbial fires and deal with 'emergencies'.

It is better to be jobless than join this company. Below market price salary, average benefits. So many political games that even Washington DC needs to learn from a thing or two from them. All of the current employees are overloaded and stressed. None of the employees have any decision making power. The upper management is a joke. Dictatorship everywhere! I used to work in a big company. From my personal experience, work roles at a small company are often less specialized and less repetitive than a large company. At a small company, we have the advantage of being able to wear multiple hats. I actually interact with other teams more often which affords me a 360-degree view of company-wide operations, giving me a “big picture” perspective of how a biotech company works, rather than my previous experience of being isolated at a big company. Another benefit is that I gained experience in a variety of areas, giving me multiple skills and areas of expertise to enhance my resume. I also like how ASC has a lot of flexibility when it comes to considering alternative work arrangements such as flextime and telecommuting. I think working for ASC is a great stepping-stone to a larger employer in the same field due to all the extensive training I have done. The biggest pro for ASC is the employees! I love working with everyone here as they are great team players and my supervisor has been a great mentor.

On the downside, a small company has less resources so there are fewer formal training programs and the composition is limited.

This company likes to internally promote its employees. Since some of the current management team members were promoted internally, they lacked the experience and the training to manage the teams to perform their best. I believe that with more formal training, the managers can do better.
