Lots to learn, but resources aren’t always available

-Lots to learn
-Most people are pretty helpful
-Casual work environment
-CEO is down to earth, has great ideas
-Location is close to highway and lots of lunch places
|
-Little room for growth
-HR seems bothered instead of interactive
-Training processes need to be put in place, especially for newer employees and refreshers for existing employees
-Communication is seriously lacking! Sometimes within teams, sometimes within departments...etc
-Hold everyone to the same standard. Some people continuously make mistakes and aren’t reprimanded, while hard workers are taken for granted.
-Recently there has been high turnover

I can't say enough about the people I work with. They are smart, hard-working, passionate and have fun. It's not uncommon to see someone cruise by your desk on a Razor Scooter or see an intense ping-pong match being played at lunch. Work hard and play hard has never been more true than at the AppVault office and I'm so proud of what we've been able to accomplish together.

This company has a lot of room to grow, and I see big things happening in the future. I was only an intern for the summer at AppVault but I was still able to get a good look at the ins and outs of this company. My co-workers were very friendly and assisted me on anything I needed help on, I never felt awkward asking questions. I was invited to go into meetings and was asked my opinion on things. For an internship position this company offers a lot. I never was doing busy work or running the 'typical' intern errands, I was actually part of the decisions that went on in the office, which was very rewarding for an internship. My manager was very easy to talk to and I could always walk into her office if I needed anything. Cool atmosphere and environment, laid back but at the same time hard working. (ping pong tournaments) Also I was paid!

for a smaller company the lack of communication was surprising. However, it started to get better my last week at the company.

The C level micromanages employees. I've seen the CEO sitting by managers telling them how to write emails. There is no communication, leadership or integrity. Pay and benefits are not competitive.
