- The engineering teams use new technologies, so it is a great place to learn and put into practice all those new hot things

- Most leaders know nothing about the product and business. They’re there for the money
- Lots of layoffs
- Everybody is burned out
- Most skilled people already ran away
- Since the talent fled, there is no innovation anymore. Fraud evolves every day, yet research and science is not “profitable” for Arkose

The best employees ARE OVERWORKED. If you can waste money on helicopters, you can invest in more people. I fear more employees who keep Arkose afloat will flee if you don’t take this advice.
REVISIT YOUR MANAGEMENT; by this, I also mean the C-level and VPs. You have a lot of greedy, unskilled men who know how to pretty-talk their way up the corporate ladder but know NOTHING about the technical side of the product. These people escalate through social engineering (lies, bullying, information hiding, esoteric corporate language, politics, and all that).
STOP OVEREXPLOITING YOUR MORE TALENTED STAFF. If you keep doing this, you will retain only the underperformers who just lie to save their undeserved privileged positions and are unable to keep the business afloat. I repeat this because it is important.
Are you giving bonuses to management for bullying the skilled and (actual) hard-working employees? Kevin, my boy... You will be left with only these leeches who haven't made a single git commit since they started working at your company. Think about this seriously. You are very talented and smart. Would you stay at a company like this, watching all these bullies fatten their wallets at the cost of your mental and physical health? In the end, the same bullies will blame you, but the truth is that those bullies were responsible for kicking out the people that DO WORK.
Who are the people who have the most git commits? Who are the people who have solved the tickets? Those are the valuable ones, the ones who keep YOUR business afloat. Please do not measure by the number of meetings; you will have the vipers and the liars there.
I have the impression that the decisions are made only by people who are “Californian enough.” That's bad; reunite the people with the most git commits, the ones with more tickets worked. LISTEN TO THEM, hear who is bullying them, take note, and please TAKE ACTION on every recommendation. These people are the true ones! Stop giving privileges to the pretty-talkers, and consider where Arkose is now due to that approach.
It is not profitable to throw money at the faces of pretty talkers who say they will give you the moon and the stars. They’re just talking, believe me on this one.
Put a leash on the product team. These people are pushing their UNFINISHED “brilliant” ideas over everybody, which produces many interruptions for those who WORK. Another solution would be to provide more technical human resources to this team so they can annoy them and not the rest of the people trying to make the company work.
Please do not heavily promote that you are hiring helicopters after you fired half of the company. That was zero empathy, inconsiderate, and one of the most cringeworthy things I have observed.
Please do not hire people you will lay off a month after hiring; that's far from polite. Whenever you fire a human being, you are depriving their family of food, health, and safety. THINK ABOUT THIS, PEOPLE. Be human!! Stop being the greedy business people you have proved to be.
