I had a generally good experience as a medic. However I would not want to do more than one contract because you have no control over your life and I could not imagine having a family while being in the Army.

Poor hours, decent pay. Experience entirely depends on leadership.
The harder you work, the more work you get. Proper acknowledgement for achievements and being overworked are hard to come by.

It has its ups and downs. It can be very beneficial for the right person for sure. But most people don't like waking up before the sun to workout. Also there isn't a set schedule. You just work until you're told to go home.

The Army place to work youll meet friends youll have for a lifetime but the biggest drawback in the Army is the work life balance. Some leadership ( not all) are bad at communicating timelines and keeping soldiers informed. All in all I appreciate my service and the experiences Ive had and the friends ive made over the years

10/10 recommended. As long as you keep your head on a straightened arrow, be tough skinned and resilient you will do the job with ease. Just make sure to choose a job that will translate to the civilian world if you plan on staying in less than 20 years.

There are few soldiers that hold this MOS, especially so in TAC units. If you actually apply yourself and learn as much as you can, you will be respected amongst your peers and considered a valuable asset to your leadership.
