Terrible place to work
|
Kind of falling apart. Needs management change at the top. Lots of hard workers, but no incentive to do so. Decent coworkers, not a very toxic environment.

If you leave for any reason they will make it very hard to get another job it's a no fault policy for attending so if your late leave early or call in you get a point 8 point total then termination

When having problems with the roll-former the plant Manager and supervisors want to keep stopping you from getting the machine to work right jest to get you even more frustrated just leave me alone and I'll get it done

Good pay, and pretty simple work for it.
|
Go into work, run the machine you are assigned to. Go home, baseline work is relatively easy, and pay goes up when you run higher difficulty machines. Not that anything is too hard but maybe more technical, would be the best way to describe it.
I've learned a lot about operations for steel products. Lots of simple manually operated machines, and some automated machines as well.
Management can be a bit too serious at times, but the amount of good people who are in management positions definitely makes up for those people who are more business focused. Almost all the supervisors I've met and worked with are great people who just want to see their employees do a good job and are always willing to help out when something is needed.
The HR team is an absolutely wonderful bunch of people, I feel like they are trying very hard to improve employee lives, and happiness at work by promoting more positive programs, opportunities, and helping make sure that the company is giving as much as it's employees give back to it.
Hardest part of the job is that sometimes you might not like the people you work with, not that that's the companies fault. I find that some nights might just be boring, the work is pretty repetitive, so if that's something you aren't into keep it in mind. Occasionally you might be asked to try and improve output, but they are willing to hear out what might be causing issues, and will try to solve them as best they can to help you do a better job.
I really enjoy working with the people I work with. The friends I have there have made this company one of the best I've ever worked for, and most of the time when people complain I think they are probably just afraid of a little hard work.

Have a job even though it’s not a good job but better then nothing I guess.

it’s just a terrible place to work I wouldn’t recommend working there but if you are desperate to have a job then go for it

Lots of drug use there and nobody even try’s to hide it

Liked the job but company gives no training and picks favorites
|
Enjoyed my job they gave me no training what so ever when I started. It’s not like a normal forklift job where your lifting pallets it’s metal on metal sometimes 12 foot long 1000+ lbs. very little chance for promotion. I liked most of the people I worked with. They fired me because I got Covid and was sick had a doctors note and everything but because they were slowing down in business and i had a disagreement with a supervisor they seen it as there chance to get me out of there so they fired me wrongfully in my opinion.

It's a job just like everywhere else. Nothing like it use to be when it was privately owned. Not really much else can be said. New owners have given raises for better pay but took away the Christmas bonus as part of our raises
