While the sentiment seems to be otherwise, sometimes it seems like the priority is generating revenue, rather than democratising the art market. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 1.0 4.0 4.0 5.0 4.0 3.0 4.0 793485 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 1.0 Jan 7th, 2021 07:01PM Jan 7th, 2021 07:01PM Artsy

private:artsy https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=793485 Dec 9th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Artsy Manager New York, NY Interesting and Exciting Platform, Broken Back End, Very Corporate Culture Artsy's platform and mission is beyond compare in the art and tech worlds, and they are primed to be very successful in the coming years. There were opportunities to learn more about both art and tech. The various internal products make day-to-day work more difficult than it needs to be. The company has lost much of its genuine "start-up" culture for a rigidly defined, typically corporate culture with a polished tech veneer. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 1.0 3.0 5.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 4.0 793485 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 2.0 Jan 7th, 2021 07:01PM Jan 7th, 2021 07:01PM Artsy

private:artsy https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=793485 Jul 1st, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Artsy Marketing Associate New York, NY Incredible sense of belonging and purpose At Artsy, your contributions are valued and acknowledged from day one. You'll find yourself proud to be apart of a real team that cares deeply for you and your development on a personal level. And the product—I mean, come on! It doesn't get any better than Artsy for savvy technologists who care about art and culture. The upside at Artsy is enormous if you can stick around long enough to see the company over the finish line: a team who's like family, a job that's as captivating as walking into a museum, access to a posh and elite industry, the list goes on. Mike Steib is a true class act and an extremely competent, strong, compassionate leader for Artsy. At the moment, Artsy is not in a high-growth phase, and talented non-technical employees can find themselves stuck shifting laterally in the lower rungs of the company as individual contributors. 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 1.0 APPROVE 1.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 3.0 3.0 4.0 793485 Open Artsy's feedback culture is fabulous, but the 360 degree review process doesn't unearth or reward the best performers—Artsy's people are just too nice, and find it very difficult to leave negative feedback with their name attached to it! Once a year, I'd suggest a more traditional anonymous lateral review cycle, where performance comments are reviewed by managers only and then passed to employees in a development conversation. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 2.0 Jan 7th, 2021 07:01PM Jan 7th, 2021 07:01PM Artsy

I mean that Work/life balance is still sacred, there are complex and interesting problems to solve in a rigid industry, and everyone has bought in to the company's success. People are empathetic and supportive of each other Limited avenues for growth and perhaps some growing pains over the last year. private:artsy https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=793485 Apr 27th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Artsy New York, NY Great place to work! Everyone is smart and passionate about what they do, and about making Artsy the best place to discover art online. The work environment is extremely supportive and caring, you'll make very genuine connections. Work-life balance has been really great too. I feel like I can take the time I need to, when I need to. Raises and promotions are fair and balanced, lots of opportunity to take on new tasks/learn new skills. This is tough because I really enjoy working at Artsy. If I were to pick something, I would say that there has been a lot of change to our operating cadence this past year, which for someone that might not like change could be seen as a negative. I really liked the changes we made because I think we are a faster, more iterative environment than we were in the past. Plus, we now have clear lines of responsibility and accountability. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 1.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 793485 Open Keep leading with openness! 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Jan 7th, 2021 07:01PM Jan 7th, 2021 07:01PM Artsy
