Promised advancement

I enjoyed doing what I was doing and helping people out within the company and our clients. I enjoyed learning everyday but I was given false hope month after month for advancement and permanent positions but was never granted anything. My salary never changed.

Mine was about 2 Hrs drive from Mt Isa.Isolated long days had to fid work to keep busy
|
Small Copper mine start 6am finish at 6pm.Various tasks not all electrical.Process plant Rectoformer required attention time to time general faults control systems ,pumps instruments.Power Station consisted of a number or Generators so ther was was always something to do.Replacing faulty CB'S.Harmonics protection was left to fall appart and no budget to replace this caused lots of issues.Repairs to bore and pumping stations.Odd issues with crushing plant screens & conveyors.Maintaining the village odd jobs,kitchen equipment,plumbing airconditioning electrical.I enjoyed the variety the challenge of making things work with quite often limited resources.Best part of the job was it was 2 weeks on and 1 week off

Management has a complete gap of understanding of over all operations. It is truly sink or swim environment. Leadership will allow you to fail. You will work hard and never be recognized. There is a small boys/girl club" in leadership, "clicky" and they will throw you under the bus.

Too much turnover. No real support from management. Absolutely no employee training. Client training is more informative in learning ins and outs of software. You are tossed into the pool and expected to swim from day one. Management promises that they are there for you, but they are really just covering their own behinds and will not hesitate to toss an employee under the bus at the first sign of client dissatisfaction.
