Covering a large part of Canada Hamilton ON. to Vancouver BC. and the Territories lead to some long days due to time zones, up to htree hours difference.
I learned the other side of selling, once on the Distributor/Partner side I sold direct to the end user/customer and with Ascom the selling was with the Channel Partner/Distributor keeping the Distribution and Channel partner abreast to anything new regard product, trained and informed on how to sell the product.
Management was hard to keep up with things were constantly changing my original VP was a great leader, unfortunately he decided to leave it was a pleasure working under this VP...
Inside people were all amazing to work with albeit I only physically saw them once or twice a year, as I was only one of three Canadian reps the rest were based in the U.S.
The hardest part of the Job was staying on top of the Channel Partners for their Sales Funnel and having them understand how to put systems together and pricing projects efficiently and competitively.
Enjoyable, well the Channel Partner people I worked with, the travel was always enjoyable knowing they was another sales opportunity around the corner, the high's of winning a big project. I loved this side of selling and wish I had gotten into much earlier in my career.
