ASET is like no other place I worked at. One of the great things about the company is that they truly care about their employees. I work directly with one of the owners and he is extremely caring, down to earth, easy to work with, and above all, really cares about our team and its success. Most of our work is at a client site, the federal government, and working with them is also pleasant and rewarding. Work can be very challenging, but we work with very smart people all of whom are always willing to help. They seem to always try to take care of the people who work for them. I know they have done that with me. They hire high caliber people They are a flat organization - not layers of management so if you feel more comfortable in being micromanaged, this may not be the best place to work. ASET is a flat organization, so communication with upper management is easy to initiate. They are also very accommodating to employees and offer flexible hours. After working in my position for about a year, I was able to incorporate one day of telework each week. Like most companies in the government contracting space, I work at the client site and not in an ASET Partners building. They do a great job of making sure people in the company stay connected. There is a lunch every quarter, a holiday party at the beginning of the year, and they incorporate some fun challenges like a NCAA Bracket Challenge with everyone in the company. One of the greatest things about this company is that “working your way up the ladder” isn’t the only way to grow. I am very content in my role and I have no interest in becoming a Project Manager and managing people. Through the years my compensation level has grown, even though my job title has stayed the same. They respect and reward employees who work hard and are dedicated to the company. They also provide an education reimbursement which has allowed me to gain various certifications related to the position I enjoy. You are working for the government so you are affected by their activities. During the recent government shutdowns I was unable to work. I came from a company where I was micro-managed, under-valued, my hard work not rewarded and leadership taking credit for me increasing business. HOWEVER, ASET Partners is the complete opposite and I cannot say enough how great it is to work at this company. It has been around for ten years now, it continues to steadily grow but that doesn't stop leadership knowing every single employee at a personal level. Leadership are accessible to all, never looking over your shoulder but if ever in need of anything they are there to help. The company is very much merit based, if you work hard, you will be rewarded. Additionally there is as much upward mobility as any company out there. You cannot beat the work-life balance and leadership understand how difficult it is to firstly find quality employees and secondly retain them, therefore the overall compensation package they provide is extremely competitive. Overall, you will not find a company that does it's best to meet the needs of each employee, it continues to grow and improve in any way it can.
