It is fairly low-key and relaxed, and there is ample time-off. Most, but not all, managers are flexible about working from home or remotely. The organization does a good job fostering a culture of inclusion, and there are numerous opportunities to mingle with colleagues. This isn't a good place for career advancement. Roles are fixed, and getting promotions and raises require someone else leaving. Salaries are low for all but the highest-level officers. There's little room for initiative, so if you're dissatisfied with your job there's little you can do to improve it. But job security is good that you don't have to worry about layoffs. Instead, office politics and blatant disrespect for employees is prevalent in the environment. The organization is dependent on a rigid hierarchy, therefore inhibiting productivity or growth. Management only cares about their own positions and will throw anyone "under the bus" to cover up their dirty work. Pay is unreasonable for someone who lives in NYC.
