There are no pros. Dreaded everyday.
|
No real benefits to speak of. Just the basic. No retirement plan. No job security at this place. You never know from day to day if this is your last. They are great at hiring people and then letting them go with in a couple of months due to lack of work or staffing reductions.

Comically terrible work environment. Work/Life balance is a joke if you're salaried. You're part of a bought-and-paid-for labor pool, and they'll push for every second of your life they can squeeze out of you. Egomaniac managers who love to pit employees against each other. Evangelical old lady co-owner will preach about her faith in God at you during mandatory meetings and have females reprimanded if they wear anything shorter than a turtleneck. Check your phone during work hours? Written up. The "corporate culture" is more like a STD, without the benefit of the fun part. It's like a more depressing version of Requiem for a Dream. Seriously, working here makes unemployment seem preferable.

There is a good corporate culture, and upper management is very approachable/involved in day to day activities. The office has nice traditions like popcorn on Thursdays or some breakfast foods on Tuesdays.
|
Some communication issues that were in the process of being solved. Unnecessary conflict would occasionally result from the lack of communication.

One of the best reasons to work as a field estimator is basically you are on your own given your work via email. You perform your work and nobody bothers you.
|
Downside is your not paid according to what you complete, it is an hourly job.

Front line staff are hard workers, keep the place running.
|
Former CEO/now Chairman egomaniac. Current management very incompetent. Most staff have no faith in ability to direct long term success of company, but management by fear keeps most quiet. Inability to diversify service offerings will be downfall of company, too reliant on a few government contracts.
