Good experience overall

The company is in a growth phase when I joined. The software was very niche and I was given a combined role of Business and Market analyst. The domain was pretty new for me and was directly reporting to MD. I had a very pleasant experience working with him, he was very supportive and great example of how an MD should be. Besides, a few pros from my perspective:
1) Work life balance was well maintained and my team was very understanding
2) Salary was given well in time
3) The product was very innovative and had an amazing potential, sales team were bang on in identifying the opportunities
4) Engineering team was humble and very reciprocating in terms of new feature development
5) In general, the product has a good demand and a good appetite in the market, hence I believe company has good potential to grow

There are a few cons too, I list out as follows:
1) I worked hard for a year here and put down my papers before the variable payout day. I wasn't paid the variable pay for the year. Considering I worked hard for the year and variable was almost 15% of the total CTC, I believe I should have been paid a part of the variable if not entire. Later got to know that none in the company was paid the variable.
2) In a short tenure of 12 months, I saw 3 HRs being fired/walked off, 1 CBO fired within 3 months of him joining the company for reasons unknown. The company has many people laid off or leaving for better opportunities.
3) Small thing but still important, there were no team bonding exercises. The birthday cakes and team lunches were all self sponsored. Company did not spend a penny on employees beside the salary (not even variable).

• Software is well developed,with lesser bugs.
• The sales team does its job very well to get new clients.
|
• Before accepting the offer or signing any agreement make sure you recheck the salary structure that includes your in-hand, variable and other deductions, as you will just receive the 50% of your CTC.
• No variable and hike given.
• No client exposure for BA's.
• People are fired for cost cutting.
• There are also few boot lickers , awarded every year, who have no exposure to outside world and no past industry or corporate and social experience on how to behave and manage their co-colleagues.
• Please don’t check the other reviews as few are written by the marketing team itself.

Bad work culture, worst company to work for

None worth mentioning. Only pro is location- Magarpatta.
|
Salary on 7th of Month. Employees are underpaid.
10 to 20% of CTC is variable. They always find some excuse to not pay the variable. Make sure to negotiate on the take home pay.
No timely increments. Appraisal month is April but they declare appraisals in August every year. Complete secrecy is maintained till then. In July end they disclose that the company did not achieve its financial goals and thus there will be no variable pay and increment will be 5%.
No employee benefits. Employee share and collect money from own pocket to celebrate birthdays/team events. No fund from company for the team bonding.
Big cafeteria but no proper coffee vending machine. Food is worst. No free tea, snacks, food etc. Everything is overpriced.
Highly unprofessional HR department. ID cards, joining documents are not given even after years of joining the company. You'll have to fight for it.
Worst quality of code. No software principles implemented. You write a code the way you want and dump it wherever you want. Talentaless seniors and leads. Everyone at mid management level is busy playing dirty politics to hide their lack of talent.
Vision and direction less upper management. Upper management lacks basic understanding of software development. Thus they fail to recognize real talent. Only bootlickers get appreciated.
HR department has started a programme to raise glassdoor ratings. I got email to post a positive feedback on glassdoor the next day of getting an award.
Avoid this company at all costs. You will never be able to improve yourself here.
