Wonderful core product that has no advancement in it's roadmap for 4 years. Engineering & delivery team are mostly excellent.
Why on earth does the Board never learn. Constant change at Executive level with continuous poor choices for these Exec positions. Too heavily indebted from financial perspective, so this will not end well.
Feel sorry for the customers as they have no idea of the cliff that is approaching.

Good experience working there, but bad upper management
In ASSIA, the engineers are the smartest. Lots of exciting exchange of ideas among the greatest engineers in the world. They are very skilled tech geek with lots of talent. The engineering team is friendly and easy to work with.
Bad top management. The CEO is a good academic leader. But it does not mean the same holds true in business. Many of PhD students were at management positions forming the so called "Stanford Club". DSL business is completely out of date as everyone knows it. In the mean while, WiFi business - "CloudCheck" - looks very very cloudy.

ASSIA is going down the drain.
The health benefits and HSA contribution are amazing, on par with the best companies in the Bay Area.
An old product which was ignored and was not expanded or built upon, as a result it has become obsolete, nobody needs it anymore. A couple of laughably mediocre new products that nobody wants. Poor management, extremely low morale, and dire financial strains. The worst people are put in charge of marketing, sales, product management and strategy planning whose only virtue is their servitude to the CEO and telling him what he wants to hear. Massive layoffs over the past year: almost 3/4 of the workforce were let go. The headquarter has become like a ghost town.
ASSIA is now like a headless chicken: very unsuccessfully running around for mere survival.
It's a shame that a company with so much potential, was destroyed to the ground by its incompetent leadership.

Going downhill
For a startup company, the work environment is good.
- Flexible schedule.
- Good work-life balance.
- Good benefits.
- Good amount of PTO.
Everyone is friendly, and the workers are very smart and skilled. I enjoyed working for ASSIA very much.
Management is trying so desperately to make ASSIA a superstar company and go public.
- The company spends too much money in various R&D projects.
- Has new upper management almost yearly.
- Does not give enough focus on their main product which is the company's main source of revenue.
As a result, the company has had two major layoffs in the last year. The company has risked so much for stardom and has failed and now is doing everything they can from going belly-up.

Nurture the company to let it do what it does best and allow it to be the successful company it once was instead of trying so hard to develop additional, mediocre products in the vain effort for IPO.

Great DSL Technology
Assia has some of the best minds in DSL. If you want to work on DSL technology, you should strongly consider Assia.
DSL is facing stiff competition from wireless, cellular, and cable. This competition significantly impacts Assia's customers, and consequently Assia.

ASSIA Inc benefits are exceptional.
The benefits package is excellent and a reflection of managements desire to attract and retain top professionals. The fully funded HSA is an excellent benefit.
Unfortunately, due to unanticipated market softness for ASSIA's newest products, the company is struggling to avoid contracting and losing its strong financial backing.
