Good place to grow

On the whole, ATD is a great place to work. It's an organization that's all about professional training and development, and it makes a concerted effort to walk its talk.
As an entry-level employee, I found that hard work and a commitment to learning could lead to lots of opportunities as this organization. It certainly did for me, which helped me acheive my professional goals, and it did for many others. I know at least one person who started as a call center representative and is now one of the company's best project management leaders.
The company also supports great work-life balance. It offers lots of paid time off, flexible enough work hours, and great benefits. The salary ranges don't seem to be out of this world, but the benefits in a lot of ways make up for that. (For example, I could have made significantly more from another organization that had made me an offer when I took my first full-time ATD job, but ATD offered double the time off, a better work schedule, and better growth opportunities.)

It was generally pretty pleasant working at ATD, Good benefits, collaborative culture. I got fired without warning, though (no conversations about my performance for 5-6 months before firing). Take that for what you will.

The people at ATD are fantastic. They are extremely smart and dedicated to the work of the organization. The atmosphere is very relaxed although the work is often high stress and fast paced.
