Important mission; badly managed
A highly siloed organization in which employees are sharply discouraged from communicating with other teams. Management is nearly invisible; the person who was allegedly my manager merely said Happy Holidays once, and nothing more to me, the entire time I was there. Seniors took no interest in team success or employee welfare. My job interviewer asked no questions; there was no employee onboarding, no formal training and little attempt to involve or even introduce new hires to others they will support. Key systems suffered from neglect. Lost well qualified and devoted employees for these reasons.

Love the AAMC
Great work environment and management. Everyone is very friendly and are truly passionate about medical education. A really nice office and their transition to remote work is amazing.

Good work life balance
The organization is very supportive of your personal and work ambitions. Work life balance is quite good. The internship program is a good learning opportunity for students.

Horrible
The job was the worst I ever worked at.They fired me because email was being properly submitted it was a technical issueThey only gave me one warning.Manager wasn't very fair didn't give me an opportunity to explain what happened. The call center was very loud could barely hear customer on the phone. It was a lot of favoritism.

Great Job
Great place to work and I enjoy being an employee here. I have learned a lot while being here and I have grown tremendously in my work ethic. I cannot wait to see how much I will improve at the rest of my time here.

Bad environment, no room for growth
This is a terrible place to work. The management is toxic, untalented, and micromanaging. Work-life balance and benefits are great, but it's not worth it.

Stressful and fast paced work environment with very limited chance for advancement.
I worked at the AAMC for 10 years and it was a bitter-sweet experience. While I did gain a lot of experience working there, I had a difficult relationship with my supervisor. My workload was very heavy and I was responsible for very important documents coming in and out of the AAMC. If a package was missing, I was always blamed even if it was someone else's negligence. I am proud to say I never lost a package and never received an apology or encouraging words from her. After 10 years of that, I needed to leave.

Great place to work
Enjoyed my 5 years at the AAMC. Only left because I wanted to make a change in my career. Also, great place to work if you are starting your career because they invest in your growth.
