I have been a college president for twelve years and in that time have been very successful.
|
|
I was permitted to develop the college utilizing my shared vision with constituent groups. This gave me the freedom to direct the college in the successful path we had identified.
|
Too many varying expectations. Lack of clarity of expectations for the long-term future of the college. Lack of board involvement in identifying these key elements.

Co-workers are intelligent and hard-working. Work can be interesting. Benefits are good, except for family health plan which is very expensive.
|
Zero autonomy at any level. President is vindictive and angers at the slightest perceived offense. He is allergic to innovation. Turnover is frequent and debilitating. The board is useless. Financial position not as strong as it first appears.
