My boss had minimal recruiting experience and the environment was hostile toward all recruiters. You have sales people running the place and no one is on the same page. Only work here for a paycheck. You will not learn anything and you will not use your skills. You go to Astreya to die, not to live.

I was in senior management with Astreya - my feedback comes from my experience interacting with the client and leadership of the organization. Astreya prides itself on being an IT consulting firm - it is not. Astreya does the bare minimum to get by; and works directly with buying influences of the departments to establish contracted SOWs; but it should be classified as contingent labor. There is no strong hold with executive leadership; I never saw my boss or bosses boss, or the CEO. There had seemed to be a constant blame game with not getting results. No one manager or above; has a CWS certification for managing contingent labor; nor from what I saw; could execute flexing proper staffing levels when managing a SOW. I had to create several systems of reporting, piece mealing together staffing levels, thrown into spikes of production and business with no ramp time; serve with account leaders who did not have strong work ethics or I questioned their intelligence on more than several occasions. Most of the executive team does not sit near their headquarters in San Jose; which 2 years ago was a huge issue since their primary client base is there. Their back office systems seemed to be glued together with tape, gum, rubber bands - and really the entire organization sits on the technology of the client to skate by. There is no accountability for poor performers; they seem to get redeployed within the company. The CEO has been replaced more than 2 times in 3 years; and there is no sense of community with Astreya from an employee perspective. The morale of the employees is incredibly low, the benefits are dismal, and other than riding the tail of its major client; Astreya has nothing to offer any potential employee.

Threating employee's with their job to complete a project does not work, it causes poor quality work. Astreya needs to hire employee's with experience with better wages. Low wages only get you quantity employee's NOT quality employee's.

Management isn't very friendly. They are distant and feels like they just see you as a worker, not a human. They don't enforce social distancing and safety policies at work.
