As a contractor I have worked in many different places, never have I ever worked a place with such slow morale. I hope you like replying to emails 8 hours a day in a small room with everyone jammed in....or and I hope you like being a janitor. Management talking bad about other management and subordinates to new hires. The amount of complaining i heard from my co-workers was tough to listen to, mostly about how poor the company was run. Learning environment. Steep upward mobility. 24/7 surveillance. Very toxic environment. Late hours. No feedback. In a typical day at Atlantic.net I would take anywhere from some to many calls a day to trouble shoot dial up connection issues email issues or website issues. The management was excellent. The workplace culture was fun and accepting. The hardest part of the job was dealing with irate customers. That was a real learning process for me. It took me a while to develop a thick skin. The most enjoyable part of the job was the learning i did in the beginning and the people.
